Joe Diminico for State Representative, 13th District

Joe is a lifelong Manchester resident.   He was raised with his two brothers by his mother, Josephine, an Italian immigrant.  Joe attended Manchester public schools through junior high and graduated from East Catholic High School.   Joe loves athletics and played varsity basketball, baseball and golf in high school.  After graduating from ECHS, Joe attended the University of Hartford.  Joe then worked as a golf professional for eight years.

After leaving the golf business, Joe began a twenty-five year career with the Town of Manchester.  He retired as the Program Director of the Town of Manchester Senior Center.  Joe believes in giving back to the community and has served on various town boards and commissions, including: the Planning and Zoning Commission (Chairman), Board of Assessment Appeals, Manchester Housing Authority, Fair Rent Commission and Library Board.   The voters of Manchester elected Joe to the Board of Selectman in 1993 where he continues to serve, having been re-elected in 2011 for the ninth time.

Since retiring from the Town of Manchester, Joe has worked as a Real Estate agent with Re/Max East of the River, which is based in Manchester. He was elected to the CT House in 2012.

Joe is the proud father of two daughters, Heather and Laura and proud grandfather of Julia.
