Steve Cassano, State Senator, 4th District

Elected November 2, 2010

When I go door-to-door meeting people, I’m often asked why I’m running for state Senate at a time when Connecticut is facing historic budget deficits and a struggling economy, My answer is simple: I view our current economic downturn as an opportunity to make real changes in the way our government works by reducing costs, restructuring our tax system and making Connecticut more business-friendly. It’s a chance for us to re-focus our priorities on the issues that really matter, like a strong public education system that will prepare students for either the next level of higher education or a skilled career in the workforce.  <Steve’s web site>
