Tim Coon, Town Council Member

Tim Coon was RE-elected to the Glastonbury Town Council in November 2009. He has been the Curriculum Manager for the Connecticut Police Officer Standards and Training Council for 10 years. He left that position to serve in the Iraq War and has just returned to Connecticut and rejoined his family after 15 months of active duty.

He was a member of the Glastonbury Board of Education for four years prior to his departure for Iraq. Tim states, “My goal is to listen to the community and use my experience in all areas of government to enhance the efficiency of all our Town Departments. We need to continually improve the excellent quality of life we have here in Glastonbury.”

Tim also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in History from the University of Connecticut, a Teaching Certificate in History/English from Eastern Connecticut State University and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the University of Hartford. He has worked in government on local, State and federal levels and has experience in almost all the major areas of local government. He grew up in Coventry and has lived in Glastonbury for 12 years with his wife Pam and two daughters, Caitlin and Meredith .
